The Indian Dental Association (IDA) recommend that people gently rinse the mouth with a warm saltwater solution after having a dental procedure. Doing this can help keep the extraction site clean and prevent infections.
Rinse your mouth every two to three hours for the first few days after surgery, then use it three to four times a day thereafter. You can use the rinse to:
1- Soothe and heal mouth sores.
2- Benefit a sore throat caused by strep, tonsillitis or even a common cold.
3- Provide emergency dental hygiene in the event you don’t have your regular
mouthwash or toothpaste handy.
